Jake Browning: 'Gotta Finish in The Red Zone And Can't Turn The Ball Over Like I Did'
CINCINNATI — Cincinnati's quarterback was too careless with the football on Saturday and the defense didn't do much to back up Jake Browning in their 34-11 loss to Pittsburgh.
Browning still shouldered the blame as he knows this offense can be dangerous when he isn't careless (three turnovers on Saturday).
"Gotta finish in the red zone and can't turn the ball over as I did so fortunately when you lose it only counts as one, it's unfortunate when you win that it only counts as one so I am gonna try to have the best week of practice I possibly can," Browning said after the game. "I don't know what the playoff (chances) and all that is, kind of ignoring that in general, but really trying to find a way to improve throughout this week and learn from this and show that there are a lot of quarterbacks that have had bad games. I obviously had a bad game. And so now it's a little bit of how do you respond."
Browning responded with a three-game winning streak the last time he fell flat against Pittsburgh and that would be a welcome sight for Bengals fans who would love to see this playoff streak continue into 2024.
