A’ja Wilson and the Las Vegas Aces are looking for a third straight WNBA title this coming season.
The two-time MVP says having first-rate team facilities has been helpful and provides a level of competitive advantage compared to other WNBA teams. The Aces, who are owned by Las Vegas Raiders owner Mark Davis, last summer opened their one-of-a-kind training facility and headquarters next door to the Raiders’ performance center in Henderson, Nevada.
It marked the first time in the league’s 28-year history that a facility was constructed solely to be used by a WNBA team. Wilson encourages other owners around the league to also make the spend to uplift not only their clubs, but the league overall.
Wilson, who won a national title at the University of South Carolina, joined the show to discuss her new book, her missing out on the NIL era and the wave of investment coming into the WNBA.
