With the MLB trade deadline just weeks away, the New York Yankees will likely get some offers for some of their top prospects.

Chiefly among them is outfielder Jasson Dominguez, who is currently the top overall prospect in the organization.

The Yankees may be tempted to make a blockbuster trade at the deadline in order to capitalize on Juan Soto's one year in the Bronx.

However, it seems they aren't willing to part ways with Dominguez, according to Joel Sherman of The Post.

"I have sensed the Yanks have no desire to trade Dominguez, who likely steps into their starting outfield next year," Sherman wrote.

In order for the Yankees to part ways with the prospect nicknamed "The Martian," it would probably have to include a haul.

In the small sample of eight games at the MLB level in 2023, Dominguez burst onto the scene with four home runs and a .980 OPS in eight games. He then torn his UCL, which ended his season effectively and caused him to endure a delayed start in 2024.

When he did return in 2024, though, Dominguez picked up right where he left off in the minors. In 23 games this season, Dominguez is hitting .356 with six home runs, 13 RBI and a ridiculous 1.013 OPS.

Unfortunately, the 21-year-old has been on the injured list since June 16 due to an oblique injury. He's expected to miss roughly eight weeks.

Either way, the Yankees feel Dominguez's future is still in the Bronx so it will be interesting to see if he gets called up at all during the second half of the season.
