As is tradition, MLB's next generation of stars will take the field during the Futures Game during All-Star Week in Arlington, Texas.

The Futures Game has become a launchpad for top prospects, with current stars like Elly De La Cruz, Corbin Carroll, Eury Perez, and Gunnar Henderson all participating in the event in recent years.

This year's rosters are loaded with talent. Of the 50 players invited to participate, only 16 are not ranked in MLB Pipeline's Top 100. Nationals OF Dylan Crews, Red Sox SS Marcelo Mayer, Padres C Ethan Salas, and Tigers OF Max Clark are among the prospects ranked in the top 10.

For the complete American and National League rosters for the MLB Futures Game, The Sporting News has you covered below.

MLB Futures Game rosters 2024

American League

The American League roster is headlined by six top-20 MLB prospects: Red Sox SS Marcelo Mayer (No. 7), Tigers OF Max Clark (No. 10), Orioles C Samuel Basallo (No. 12), Twins 3B/SS Brooks Lee (No. 13), and White Sox SS Colson Montgomery (No. 16) and SP Noah Schultz (No. 18). Lee was called up shortly before the All-Star break, so it remains to be seen if he'll play in the Futures Game.

Fifteen of the 25 American League prospects are ranked in the top 100, although only two of them are pitchers.

National League

The National League roster only has four top-20 MLB prospects, but three are in the top 10. Nationals OF James Wood (No. 2) may miss the event after being called up just before the All-Star break. His former (and future) teammate, OF Dylan Crews (No. 4), will have to hold it down in his place.

Padres C Ethan Salas (No. 6) and Reds SP Rhett Lowder (No. 20) are the other two top 20 prospects.

Unlike the American League, eight of the National League's nine pitchers are top-100 prospects.
