Caitlin Clark isn't shy on the court whatsoever. Not only does she regularly shoot logo 3-pointers, but she's not afraid to speak out against the referees.

It's something that Clark has been known for since she played at Iowa. It reached a point where her dad seemed to tell the star player to knock it off.

The trait stayed with her as she made the leap into the WNBA, and cameras caught her latest words toward the referees in the Fever vs. Mercury game on Friday night.

Here's what Clark told the referees after they called her for a turnover.

What did Caitlin Clark say to the referees?

Clark committed a turnover midway through the second quarter, but she believed the defender kicked the ball. The referee didn't call a violation, and Clark yelled out a diss as the game went to commercial break.

"Wake up! You guys are so bad," Clark appeared to say.

Clark didn't pick up a technical foul. Either the referees let it go or they didn't hear her because direct criticism like this typically warrants a technical.

The Fever were pulling away from the Mercury at this point, leading by 11 midway through the second quarter. Phoenix was without Diana Taurasi for the game as she's recovering from an injury. Brittney Griner, who started the game, left due to a left hip injury.

Clark continued her strong play as of late, finishing the first half with 15 points and nine assists.
