Barcelona finished 10 points clear of second-placed Real Madrid last season, while third-placed Atletico Madrid finished one point shy of Los Blancos. Remarkably, Barca conceded a measly 20 goals in 38 games en route to clinching the title. 

Real Madrid and Barcelona have won 17 of the 19 La Liga titles on offer since 2004-05, with Atletico claiming the other two. As you can see, the bookies believe that the battle for the 2022-23 crown will be a two-horse race between the big two.

Bayern Munich clinched an 11th successive Bundesliga triumph last season, edging out Borussia Dortmund on goal difference on the final day of the campaign. Naturally, Bayern is the firm favorite to take a 12th title on the bounce.

However, I’m backing Dortmund to end Bayern’s dominance in 2023-24. The perennial runner-up has been knocking on the door for years, so I can see BVB taking advantage of an unsteady Bayern ship this time around.

French Ligue 1 Outright Odds and Analysis for 2023-24

Surprise package Lens pushed Paris Saint-Germain all the way last season, finishing a solitary point behind the champion. Nevertheless, PSG ended up claiming a fifth Ligue 1 title in six years. 

When you look at the bigger picture, the Parisians have won nine of the previous 11 top-flight titles in France. As the bookies’ odds suggest, PSG is favored to win it all again, but teams like Marseille, Lille, Monaco and Lyon could spring a surprise.
