Honolulu Star-Advertiser – About Us

The Honolulu Star-Advertiser, Hawaii’s largest news-gathering organization, published its first edition June 7, 2010, after the merger of the 128-year-old Honolulu Star-Bulletin and the 154-year-old Honolulu Advertiser.

The newspaper is operated by Oahu Publications Inc., a subsidiary of Carpenter Media Group.

Dennis Francis is president of OPI and publisher of the Star-Advertiser.

The Star-Advertiser’s senior management team also includes Chief Revenue Office Dave Kennedy and Senior Vice President, Audience & Operations Aaron J. Kotarek.

The newsroom and administrative offices are in Building 7 of Waterfront Plaza at 500 Ala Moana Blvd.
