A woman and her son are dead in what police suspect was a murder-suicide in a Rochester apartment.

The identities of the woman and her son have yet to be released.

Officers conducting a welfare check Thursday found the bodies of the 54-year-old woman and her 30-year-old son in his residence at the River Glen Apartments in the 100 block of Sandbar Court NE., police said.
According to a police statement, they had been dead “for some time.” The statement offered no details about what might have led to the deaths.
Their identities were not immediately released.
