  • Oslo dumps tons of construction materials in neighboring cities

    Trucks driving out of Oslo with stone and excess materials from construction sites account for about 40 percent of the annual CO2 emissions from heavy transport. A new research project has delved into the topic but finds little information and environmental regulation.

    Andrea Joslyn Nightingale from The department of sociology and human geography has received an Advanced Grant from the European Research Council. This is the fourth prestigious Advanced Grant to The faculty of social sciences and accounts for four of UiO's five grants this year.
