Fire Ecology Curriculum

Teaching about WILDFIRE

Wildfire is complex and so is land management. The Southwest Fire Science Consortium developed a curriculum to inspire our future natural resource stewards and community leaders. Topics include biotic communities of the Southwest, fire ecology and how fire plays a role in these communities, and wildland fire and natural resources careers. The curriculum was funded by the Joint Fire Science Program and developed in collaboration with federal and state public affairs staff, including Fireworks managers, and curriculum developer, Cerise Consulting.
