Buffalo Bills QB Josh Allen will sacrifice himself to the pit on one condition

When Josh Allen says he will do anything to get the Buffalo Bills a Super Bowl, he means it.

Allen, 28, has helped Buffalo win the AFC East the past four seasons and has played at a MVP level over that period. Last season, the Bills signal caller became the first quarterback in NFL history with four consecutive seasons of 40 total touchdowns.

Despite his elite play, Allen and the Bills have not been able to get over the hump in the postseason. The team has been bounced out of the postseason in the divisional round three times while losing once in the AFC title game.

Winning the big game for the Bills is still Allen’s goal, but he is also willing to give up his career if it meant a Lombardi Trophy would come to Buffalo.

In a question posed by Big Cat on Pardon My Take, Allen was asked if he would retire if it would guarantee bringing a championship to the Bills. Without hesitation, Allen said yes.

“If that’s what it took, I would do it,” Allen told the Pardon My Take hosts. “Yeah, I would do it.”

Allen even took it one step further.

“I would sacrifice myself to the pit,” Allen added.

The pit is a massive hole located at the future home of the Bills. Last season, several fans were charged with trespassing in the area as a means of “sacrifice” to help the Bills. Buffalo’s turnaround last year coincided with fans jumping into the pit. From that point on, fans did their best to feed the pit in an attempt to help the Bills continue their winning ways.
