Al Gough has joined Pioneer Companies as the chief financial officer.

He has more than 30 years of leadership in finance, accounting, and operations experience in several industries including construction and development.

Prior to his transition to Pioneer, he was with Widewaters’ hospitality division, where he oversaw the acquisition and sale of several properties along with the day-to-day accounting functions of 15 hotels. He is also a partner and former CFO of Brine Wells Development LLC where he handled the $80 million financing for the restoration of the Marriott Syracuse Downtown formerly the Hotel Syracuse as well as spearheaded the first permanent financing for Carousel Center, the largest single asset securitization at the time on Wall Street.

In his free time, he volunteers on the board of the Rosamond Gifford Zoo and has been involved with HumaneCNY, Habitat for Humanity and Syracuse City Ballet. Based in the Syracuse office, he resides in Sherrill.

Pioneer has built and owned properties of all types in over 22 states throughout the country since its inception more than 50 years ago.
