After thwarting attack | Local and Iranian commanders instruct to continue threatening US interests in Deir Ezzor

Deir Ezzor province: SDF thwarted an attack by local Iran-backed groups on areas eastern of Euphrates in Deir Ezzor countryside on its first day, where SDF advanced to station in the areas that they withdrew from, while the military forces prepare for a new attack on Zaiban Town to reach areas in eastern Euphrates River and threaten the US forces in Al-Omar Oil Field.

Earlier today, SOHR activists reported that a meeting took place today between Ibrahim Al-Hafl, who is surrounded by local gunmen, and officers of the “Iranian Revolutionary Guards” and the “Republican Guards” in villas of the State Security in Deir Ezzor City, to evaluate results of the attack and instruct to repeat attacks against SDF-held areas and the US interests.

Three members of Iran-backed gunmen and three civilians were killed and more than ten people were injured in clashes and under mortar shells.

Earlier today, US warplanes targeted, with machineguns, posts where local Iranian-backed gunmen are stationed on the western bank of the Euphrates River, adjacent to Mahkan station opposite the town of Thibyan in Deir Ezzor countryside, while no causalities were reported.
The local gunmen use Mahkan station as a post to target “SDF” positions, and it is also considered as a supply line for the gunmen to attack Al-Omar oil field station on the eastern side of the river.
Shortly before, SOHR reported that American warplanes flew over, in parallel with an attack carried out by groups of local gunmen, National Defence forces, and Iran-backed militias, on SDF positions in the east of the Euphrates in Deir Ezzor countryside, under cover of artillery and mortar shells.
Violent clashes erupted between Deir Ezzor and Hajin Military Council forces on the one hand, and the attacking groups on the other hand, in the vicinity of the villages of Thiban, four kilometers away from Al-Omar oil field base, the largest base in Syria, in addition to Al-Latwah and Abu Hamam, after midnight on Tuesday-Wednesday and today morning, with no change in the control map.
“SDF” imposed a complete curfew in the towns of Granij, Al-Kashkiya and Abu Hamam in Deir Ezzor countryside, coinciding with the launch of a large-scale combing campaign in search of local gunmen.
