"You Got Gold" — a concert series celebrating late songwriting giant John Prine — returns to Nashville this October.

In its second year, "You Got Gold" takes place Oct. 8-10, the Prine family confirmed Tuesday. Participating venues include the CMA Theater (Oct. 8), Basement East (Oct. 9) and Ryman Auditorium (Oct. 10, coinciding with Prine's birthday).

Ticket pre-sale launches Wednesday at noon and general on-sale opens Friday at 10 a.m. via yougotgold.johnprine.com.

"The time I spent with John on the road made one thing very clear - the community he helped create was always, and remains, at the heart of the music, and the work we continue to do every day," Prine's wife Fiona Whelan Prine said in a statement. "I’m so happy that 'You Got Gold' will now become an annual event to ensure that we maintain that connection and grow our beloved community."

The Prine family launched "You Got Gold" in 2022 as a citywide celebration for fans of the late folk hero. Thousands gathered at clubs and concert halls for Prine-themed nights of music and stories. During the day, organizers teamed with Prine's favorite Nashville haunts — Brown's Diner, the Belcourt Theatre and White Castle, among others — for special events and discounts.
