Anthony Law is returning to the Metro Nashville high school football head coaching ranks.

Law has been named the football coach at Stratford, replacing Preston Scott, who resigned after one season. Stratford finished 2-9 with a Class 3A first-round playoff loss to Waverly in 2022.

Law was the coach at Whites Creek from 2005-09 before moving to Indiana where he coached at Broad Ripple High in Indianapolis. There he led the team to the sectional championship game in 2012.

Law went 29-29 in five seasons with the Cobras. The team made the playoffs three times. His best season was his final one when the program went 9-5, falling to Greeneville 21-14 in the 2009 season.

Law will be the fourth Metro Nashville Public Schools first-year football coach in 2023. He joins Damien Harris at East Nashville, Brian Lilly at first-year James Lawson High and Chris Simpson at Maplewood, his alma mater.
