Sophie Gable is a reporter on the news team for The U.S. Sun. She started freelancing for the publication in June 2022 on the news and blogs desks before coming on full-time in January 2023. Sophie started her tenure at The U.S. Sun with the blogs team and transitioned to news in July 2024. She graduated from St. John's University with a Bachelor's degree in Journalism and a Master's in Government & Politics. Prior to working at The U.S. Sun, Sophie wrote for Her Campus and St. John's independent student newspaper, The Torch. With her background in politics, she has covered stories on tensions in the Middle East, and the 2024 presidential election. Sophie has broken some of this year's top stories, including President Biden's diagnosis with Covid-19, Kamala Harris' first campaign rally after announcing her candidacy for president, and Donald Trump breaking his silence on debating Harris. She has also produced exclusives for The U.S. Sun on the viral Gracie Mae Thompson scam and the resurfacing of crime scene photos from the murder of Gypsy Rose Blanchard's mother.
