👑 The best NFL football betting bonuses explained

Now that you’re a bit more familiar with the offers below, it’s essential to understand their intricacies, including the terms and conditions.

Below, we’ll explain each offer in great detail so you know which makes the most sense for your betting budget.

1. DraftKings Sportsbook NFL betting promo

By clicking our exclusive link and creating an account at DraftKings, you can earn $200 in bonus bets

To earn these bonus bets, you’ll, as mentioned, click our link and create an account.

You’ll deposit $5 or more from here and then wager $5. Once the $5 wager is resolved, your account will receive $200 in bonus bets. At DraftKings, these typically manifest as eight $25 bonus bets, allowing you to use multiple bonus bets to earn profit.

When wagering with bonus bets, it’s important to know that if you win, you’ll only receive the winnings back as opposed to the winnings and your original wager as with real-money bets.

The bonus bets you receive last for seven days.

I’ve found this to be an excellent offer, but do wish that the bonus bets lasted longer than seven days.

2. BetMGM Sportsbook NFL betting promos

Did you like the sound of that DraftKings Sportsbook offer above? If so, we have another quite similar one.

This time, it’s BetMGM

By clicking our exclusive link, you’ll head to the platform where you can create an account. Once here, register for a new account.

When you’ve completed this process, deposit $10 or more, wager $5 of it, and win or lose, you’ll receive $158 in bonus bets

As you can see, this is similar to the offer mentioned above; only here do you need to deposit $10, and you’ll get $42 less in bonus bets. The bonus bets you receive last for 14 days.

BetMGM is available in well over 20 states across the United States.

3. BetRivers Sportsbook NFL betting promos

OK, it's time for something different here.

BetRivers is a long-standing online sportsbook that offers players what we call a “safety net” wager or a “second-chance” bet.

To access this, you’ll start by clicking our links to head to the registration page. Once here, this offer calls for a promo code. Promo codes are similar to when you make an online purchase for money.

Here, though, it acts as a way to unlock the offer.

The NFL promo code you’ll use during registration is “GIGMEDIA.”

With this code, you can now make your first wager for as low as $10 and up to $500 while knowing that, if you lose, you’ll receive it back as bonus bets.

It’s important to clarify that you won’t get your money back if you lose. Instead, it’s bonus bets. These can be used again, though, to regain betting profits.

🎁 Types of NFL betting promotions

We’ve discussed several welcome bonuses above, but it’s important to understand the terminology to describe these offers so you can readily identify them at other online sportsbooks or if the sites mentioned above change their welcome bonus.

The most popular promotions at online sportsbooks include deposit matches, bonus bets, boosted bets, and parlay insurance.

The first two mentioned are typically what you’ll find for welcome bonuses. Still, the latter two can be found for everyday, existing players on the platform.

Yes—you can take advantage of football betting rpomosbeyond the welcome bonus at online sports betting platforms.

Deposit match bonus

With a deposit match offer, you’ll find A percentage match and an amount that's good up through.

These were extremely common when sports betting first became legal in the United States because these were offers online casino players came across.

A perfect example is a 100% match up to $1,000.

So, if you were to deposit $200, you’d get $200 in site credit/bonus bets.

However, this site credit was accessible for withdrawing if you met specific terms and conditions like wagering requirements.

Wagering requirements prevented players from receiving a bonus and withdrawing it. A common wagering requirement was 1x the bonus received or 1x the deposit and the bonus.

For example, if an offer was 100% match up to $1,000 and had 1x wagering requirements on the deposit and bonus, here’s how it would look using the example above:

Deposit $200 and get $200 in bonuses. In total, that’s $400. From here, you’d need to wager $400 in cash to access the $200 bonus funds.

In my experience, the online sports betting landscape is moving away from these types of offers, it appears.

Bonus bets

We mentioned bonus bets a plethora of times above. These can be earned by wagering a specific amount of money and getting it back, receiving it back after a losing first wager, and many other ways.

It’s important to draw the distinction that these aren’t “free bets.” To get these, you’ll typical need to wager something first. In my opinion, these are the best types of offers.

NFL boosted odds

Boosted odds are one of those promotions in almost any online sportsbook. These are football gambling markets where the odds of the wager have been boosted.

For example, the team could be +110, but now they’re +130.

Why does this happen?

The online sportsbook will receive more action on the game, and it can entice players to give it a chance.

However, it’s always important to research wagers before betting, regardless of their boosted odds status or not.

Parlay insurance

Parlays are a notoriously difficult wager to win.

These wagers consist of placing two or more bets on the same betslip. This is done as the odds exponentially increase based on the number of betting options you have.

However, with parlays, all contests you add must win for the parlay to succeed. So, if you add eight games to a parlay ticket, all eight must win. Whether one of eight or seven of eight wins, it doesn’t matter—you lose.

With parlay insurance, you’ll find that these wagers will provide bonus bets if you lose.

For example, it could be something like “Wager $25+ on a parlay, and if you lose, get $15 back in bonus bets.” Here, you’d wager $25; if you lose, get $15 of it back in bonus bets for a “net loss” of $10.

Other parlay insurance promotions may require something like “only one losing leg.”

As always, read the terms and conditions of each offer to know what you’re getting into.

👨‍🏫 How to get the most out of NFL betting promos

While many view NFL betting as wagering on your favorite team or big games, there are ways to make the experience as profitable and enjoyable as possible in addition to using NFL betting promos.

While we can never guarantee wins, there are some best practices you can deploy right now to at least enhance the experience.

Understand the value of a promotion

It’s important to know that not all promotions are created equally. Regardless of the advertisement, you must read the terms and conditions.

For example, we mentioned DraftKings and BetMGM above, where you receive $158 or $200 in bonus bets by wagering just $5. Some sites offer something similar, but instead of receiving the bonus bets either way, they might require your $5 wager to win to receive the bonus bets.

This creates a whole new dynamic to the offer.

Read the Terms and Conditions carefully

As mentioned above, terms and conditions are key to understanding promotions and setting yourself up for the most success possible.

This can apply especially to deposit match offers. Wagering requirements are essential to be aware of. We mentioned above that wagering requirements could be multiplicative of the bonus received or the bonus and deposit placed. That doubles the requirement on your end—it could be more than 1x. It could be 5x or 10x.

There’s nothing worse than redeeming a promotion only to find out there are hurdles you need to clear to redeem your bonus.

Use bonuses that fit your playing style

Welcome bonuses are available at almost every online bookmaker in the United States that operates legally. However, these bonuses benefit various types of players.

If you only bet a few bucks here and there, the offers to wager $5 and get bonus bets might benefit you.

If you’re more of a high-roller, the deposit match offers come in handy, as you can deposit $1,000 and get that matched.

Use multiple bonuses

Picking an online sportsbook in your state doesn’t have to be limited to one site.

Suppose you’re in a state like Pennsylvania, where BetMGM and DraftKings are available. In that case, you can create accounts at both places and redeem the welcome bonuses using our exclusive links.

So, after clicking our links, you can redeem $358 in bonus bets after wagering $10.

We highly recommend taking advantage of as many promotions in your state as possible that fit your play style and budget. Make sure to pay attention to what the NFL promo codes are, too.
