Who is in the cast of Inside Out 2?
Maya Hawke as Anxiety

Maya Hawke is making her debut in Inside Out 2 as Anxiety which is the first of Riley’s four new emotions.
The actress has already got some impressive acting credits under her belt including Mainstream, Do Revenge, and Wildcat.
She also recently appeared in Asteroid City and Bradley Cooper's Oscar-nominated Maestro.
She is following in the footsteps of her famous parents Ethan Hawke and Uma Thurman.

Amy Poehler as Joy

Amy Poehler is coming back to her role as Joy.
You will recognise Poehler for starring in Saturday Night Live and acting credits such as Arrested Development, Baby Mama, and Mean Girls.
This isn't her first voice acting job as she's also worked on Horton Hears a Who, Monsters vs. Aliens, and Free Birds.
Lewis Black as Anger

Lewis Black is back for his character of Anger.

The stand-up comedian has risen to fame hosting the Comedy Central series Lewis Black's Root of All Evil and has been a regular contributor to The Daily Show.
He has also done voice work for shows like SpongeBob Squarepants and Scooby-Doo! Mystery Incorporated.
Every emotion from Inside Out as sequel adds four new characters
Ayo Edebiri as Envy

Emmy winner Ayo Edebiri voices Envy which is another new emotion in Riley's mind in Inside Out 2.
Ayo is mostly known for starring in The Bear and Bottoms.
However she started out in voice acting and has some well-known credits such as Clone High, Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem.
Adèle Exarchopoulos as Ennui

Ennui, voiced by Adèle Exarchopoulos, is also one of Riley's four new emotions.
Exarchopoulos is well known for her work in French cinema.
This role marks the second time Exarchopoulos has lent her voice to a Pixar flick as she voiced Ember in the French dubbing of Elemental.
Phyllis Smith as Sadness

Phyllis Smith has returned as Sadness in Inside out 2.
She's quite the celebrity when it comes to her past roles - probably being best known for starring in The Office.
Away from comedy, Phyllis played Betty "BBA" Broderick-Allen in the Netflix mystery series The OA.
Paul Walter Hauser as Embarrassment

Emmy winner Paul Walter Hauser is taking on another of Riley's four new emotions.
Since his breakout role as Tonya Harding's bodyguard Shawn Eckhardt in 2017’s I, Tonya, Hauser has been a staple on our screens.
He has also appeared in films Richard Jewell and BlacKkKlansman.
Tony Hale as Fear

Tony Hale is the new voice of Fear in Inside Out 2 taking over from Bill Hader.
Hale is known for his career in comedy television, playing Buster Bluth in Arrested Development and Gary Walsh in Veep.
He also voiced Forky in Pixar's Toy Story 4.
Kensington Tallman as Riley

Kensington Tallman voices Riley Anderson, which is who the whole movie is based around.
Tallman takes over the role from Kaitlyn Dias, who played Riley in the first Inside Out.
The actress has worked across many roles such as Nickelodeon shows Drama Club and That Girl Lay Lay.
Liza Lapira as Disgust

Liza Lapira is Disgust in Inside Out 2.
This is Lapira's first prominent role in an animated film and replaces Mindy Kaling who voiced the character in the first movie.
She has starred in various TV and film roles such as NCIS, Unbelievable, Cloverfield and Crazy, Stupid, Love.
Diane Lane as Mom

Diane Lane reprises her role as Mrs. Andersen who is Riley's mom.
Lane's been working in Hollywood since she was 13 and has some notable roles under her belt.
She is known by comic book fans as Superman's mother, Martha Kent, in the DCEU movies.
Kyle MacLachlan as Dad

Kyle MacLachlan returns to Inside Out 2 as Mr. Andersen.
He found fame playing Charlotte's first husband, Trey MacDougal, on Sex and the City.
MacLachlan currently stars in Amazon Prime Video's post-apocalyptic Fallout series.
June Squibb as Nostalgia

June Squibb plays Nostalgia in Inside Out 2.
Squibb's role in Nebraska scored her an Oscar nomination in 2013.
She's also starred in several other animated films and TV shows, including Ralph Breaks the Internet and Soul.
Paula Poundstone as Forgetter Paula

Comedian Paula Poundstone reprises her role in Inside Out 2 as Forgetter Paula.
Poundstone made a name for herself during the stand-up comedy scene in the late 80s and 90s.
She headlined HBO comedy specials and appeared on late-night talk shows across numerous decades, including The Tonight Show with both Johnny Carson and Jay Leno, The Late Show With David Letterman, and The Late Late Show With Craig Ferguson.
Bobby Moynihan as Forgetter Bobby

Bobby Moynihan returns to Inside Out 2 as Forgetter Bobby.

Moynihan can also be seen in John Krasinski's family comedy If, and heard as Jedi Bob in the forthcoming Star Wars special Lego Star Wars: Rebuild the Galaxy.
