Professional cleaner reveals secret hack to remove tough toilet stains – and all you need is a pumice stone

A PROFESSIONAL cleaner has revealed the secret to removing tough toilet stains is a pumice stone - and the photos speak for themselves.

If you’ve inherited a loo with some unsightly marks and scrubbing for hours hasn’t made any difference, you need to grab your pumice stone.

They’re usually used to remove dead bits of skin, particularly from your feet, but it turns out they work wonders elsewhere in the bathroom.

The cleaner shared a snap of a horrific toilet to Facebook group Cleaning Tips & Tricks, which was so dirty she thought the owners would have to chuck it.

But she used her secret weapon - a pumice stone - along with her other got-to products to get it looking as good as new.

Sharing incredible before-and-after photos, she said: “I thought the property manager was going to need to replace the toilet but it came clean using LimeAway, a pumice stone, and a Shaw’s PAD.

“This is why I clean my toilet regularly, then it is super easy to clean.

“Move out cleans are so much work.”

Explaining how she got the stone to shift the marks, she added: “I used it for the very top part that you only see from the sides and a Shaw’s Pad for the ring.
