Dem staffer Jacqueline Marsaw posts ‘don’t miss next time’ after failed Trump assassination as critics want her fired
A STAFFER for a Democratic congressman has gone viral after saying that she wished the shooter who tried to assassinate former president Donald Trump "had better aim."
Jacqueline Marsaw, field director for Mississippi congressman Bennie G. Thompson, posted the shocking comments on Facebook mere hours after Trump was shot in the ear at a campaign event in Butler, Pennsylvania.
"I don't condone violence but please get some shooting lessons so you don't miss next time ooops that wasn't me talking," Marsaw wrote, per The Daily Mail.
In a follow-up post, Marsaw added, "That's what your hate speech got you!!"
Marsaw, 61, has since deleted the post but not before images of the Facebook status had been shared online.
The post sparked outrage, with many tagging Marsaw's boss asking for her to be fired.

"Have you fired Jaqueline Marsaw yet," one social media user wrote under an X post by Thompson.
"What kind of a person are you that you would have someone like her working for you. Disgusting," they added.
"You should fire this trash that works for you," a second furious person wrote under the same post.
Other users have suggested that Thompson take more drastic action against his staffer.
One user called for the arrest of Marsaw "immediately" while tagging both the FBI and Secret Service.
"She supports the assassination of President Trump. Why is she working in government? Why did she delete her Facebook post? She should be fired," a third person slammed.
Marsaw is not the only person to have been condemned for their inappropriate reaction to the shooting.
Comedian Amanda Seales found herself in hot water after alleging that the entire shooting was staged.
"That s**t was more staged than a Tyler Perry production of Madea Runs for President," Seales, 43, says in the video posted to X.
"I lived in Harlem long enough to know gunshots do not sound like making popcorn on the stove," she added.
Donald Trump's Full Statement Post-Rally Shooting
Former president Donald Trump provided an update on Truth Social after the shooting that took place at his Pennsylvania rally on July 13.
"I want to thank The United States Secret Service, and all of Law Enforcement, for their rapid response on the shooting that just took place in Butler, Pennsylvania.
"Most importantly, I want to extend my condolences to the family of the person at the Rally who was killed, and also to the family of another person that was badly injured.
"It is incredible that such an act can take place in our Country. Nothing is known at this time about the shooter, who is now dead.
"I was shot with a bullet that pierced the upper part of my right ear. I knew immediately that something was wrong in that I heard a whizzing sound, shots, and immediately felt the bullet ripping through the skin.
"Much bleeding took place, so I realized then what was happening. GOD BLESS AMERICA!"
"Pop, pop, pop. Where'd the blood come from? So in theater, in movies, they have what's called blood pellets," the Insecure actress claimed.
"People used them at Halloween. It's basically a pellet of fake blood that's in your mouth and when you crush it blood comes out."
"To be frank, small hands Trump, would not respond by raising his fist in the air triumphantly were an actual attempt made on his life," she said.
She claimed Trump would stage the shooting to draw the spotlight from President Joe Biden in hopes to secure the upcoming presidential election.
THE SHOOTING
Video from the rally shows Trump, who was minutes into his speech, bleeding from his ear before being swarmed by Secret Service agents.
Trump suffered a minor injury to his right ear and was immediately treated at a local hospital.

The shooter was later revealed to be 20-year-old Thomas Matthew Crooks, who attempted to shoot the former president from the roof of a nearby manufacturing plant.
The Pennsylvania native was shot dead by snipers who returned gunfire from the roof of another building nearby.
