Dennis Quaid blasts Kamala Harris’ ‘obsession with power’ on Joe Rogan and warns he ‘can’t see her in charge’ of US
Quaid also had harsh remarks about Joe Biden
ACTOR Dennis Quaid had some strong words for Kamala Harris' presidential run while speaking on the Joe Rogan Experience.
Quaid is portraying former President Ronald Reagan in an upcoming biopic and spoke to Rogan about his perspective on modern-day politics.

The two sounded off on the 2024 presidential election and Quaid made it clear where he stood.
When talking about the Democrats, Rogan said, "I think they're more concerned with being in power than they are with preserving the idea of democracy."
Rogan questioned whether President Joe Biden was "running the country" and Quaid responded that he "really can't see [Harris] being in charge."
"She's flipped on everything except for plastic straws," Quaid declared.

The remark elicited a burst of laughter from Rogan, who then slammed Harris for campaigning on eliminating a tax on tips.
Donald Trump announced his plan to eliminate taxes for hospitality workers at a Las Vegas, Nevada rally in June.
Harris then voiced her support for the idea when she visited the city earlier this month.
Rogan claimed that Harris flip-flopped on the issue after she voted in favor of the Inflation Reduction Act while serving as vice president, which he framed as a vote to tax tips, a claim PolitiFact has rated false.

Harris' campaign told The Washington Post that she would, “work with Congress to craft a proposal that comes with an income limit and with strict requirements to prevent hedge fund managers and lawyers from structuring their compensation in ways to try to take advantage of the policy.”
Quaid then quipped that the Inflation Reduction Act and the Green New Deal were, "one in the same."

The two then discussed Trump, and Quaid admitted even though he "cringed" at what the former president said, he thought Trump had "a good heart."
Meanwhile, he believes that Harris is "obsessed with power."
But despite his harsh feelings towards Harris and favoritism towards Trump, Quaid describes himself as a moderate.
He explains how he voted for Reagan, Bush, Clinton, and Obama, but only once before opting not to vote in 2012 and casting his most recent votes for Trump.

Quaid also says that despite his vote certainly going to Trump, the candidate was not his first pick for this election.
"I was wanting [Republicans] to find another candidate that would kind of calm things down."
"I thought that's what we needed, to calm things down."
However, once Trump was charged, tried, and convicted of 34 felony counts back in May, he said everything changed.

"Then you're messing with the constitution, and you can't go back from that," Quaid said.
"That's why I'm jumping all in for Trump."
