Wallace and Mark have one kid together. Their son Liam was born in 2012.

In 2019, Page Six reported that Wallace was divorcing Mark after 14 years of marriage.

The outlet claimed that she was dating New York Times writer Michael S. Schmidt, who is also a regular guest on her show Deadline: White House.

Wallace and Schmidt were seen together at the SXSW festival in Austin, Texas, in March 2019.

However, a source close to Wallace told Page Six that the anchor strongly rejected the claims, adding, "Nicolle is one of the most professional people I know."

The source insisted the pair only attended a breakfast together.

A few years later, Wallace and Schmidt officially wed in March 2022.

Despite a 12-year age gap, the two appear to be going strong, adding another member to their growing family in November 2023.

The duo welcomed their daughter, Isabella Sloane Schmidt, via surrogate.

On November 21, Wallace appeared on her show from home to share the news.

"Mike and Liam and I are smitten with her," she said.

"But we were able to keep it secret, obviously, because I wasn’t pregnant, but I never meant to keep it secret from our beloved viewers."

"I am so happy to share our happy news today," she added.
