BRIAN Laundrie's parents refused to look at Gabby Petito's dad during a grueling two-day deposition, family of the murdered vlogger has said.

The two families came face-to-face for the first time this week since Brian murdered fiancée Gabby on a cross-country road trip in 2021.

During the second day of the two-day deposition, Roberta Laundrie was questioned about the infamous "burn after reading" letter she wrote her son.

The Laundries' attorney, Steven Bertolino, told The U.S. Sun: “I can’t comment beyond that there was no surprises on our side. Same as yesterday with the deposition of [Brian's dad] Chris.”

But attorney Pat Reilly, who is representing Gabby's family, told local NBC affiliate WFLA: “We learned a lot in the last two days that we didn’t know before."

Reilly questioned Roberta on Wednesday in Florida, one day after Chris Laundrie was deposed.

After listening to Wednesday's three-hour hearing via Zoom, Gabby's mom, Nichole Schmidt, said: “There is pure evil in this world."

“I have witnessed it firsthand.”

Gabby's dad, Joe Petito, told WFLA that the Laundries both refused to look his way during both days of questioning.

“I’ve never such seen emotionless answers regarding a deceased child," Joe said of the Laundries.

BURN LETTER

The comments from the Petito family come after the Laundries were spotted driving Brian's silver Ford Mustang convertible to Wednesday's meeting, during which Roberta was reportedly grilled about the "burn after reading" letter.

The contents of the letter were released earlier this year.

"Nothing can make me stop loving you, nothing will or could ever divide us," the note read.

"If you're in jail I will bake a cake and put a file in it.

"If you need to dispose of a body, I will show up with a shovel and garbage bags."

Roberta has said that she gave her son the letter before he and Gabby set out on their road trip adventure.

Before shooting himself, Brian left a suicide note admitting that he killed Gabby.

'EYE OPENING DAY'

While Bertolino said the two-day deposition went as planned, Reilly had a pointed response, saying the Laundries "have been hiding the truth and refusing to give Joe and Nichole the answers they so desperately needed for two years.

"Bertolino makes it sound like it is just another day in his and the Laundries' life.

"But it was an emotional, gut wrenching, and eye opening day for Joe and Nichole.

"They learned exactly what the Laundries and Bertolino knew while they were searching for any information on Gabby but failed to disclose.

"The level of insensitivity of Mr Bertolino is never ending.”

The Petitos are suing the Laundries and Bertolino for emotional distress.

They have claimed in their lawsuit that the Laundries knew about Gabby's murder shortly after it occurred but did nothing to help.

The civil trial between the two families is slated to begin in May.
