LeBron James admits ‘guarding Steph Curry is uncomfortable’ ahead of potential Lakers-Warriors play-in tournament clash

NBA superstar LeBron James is wary of Steph Curry's powers - as the pair prepare for a potential postseason showdown.

LeBron's Los Angeles Lakers could be set for a play-in tournament clash with Curry's Golden State Warriors.

The two teams are currently battling for the best possible position in the Western Conference.

Teams sitting No. 6 through No. 10 in the West will face off to reach this year's NBA Playoffs.

LeBron recently joined the Mind the Game podcast alongside ex-NBA star and ESPN analyst JJ Redick.

And it was clear Curry is on his mind ahead of the potential postseason matchup.

"The ball is not the problem with Steph Curry," James told Redick.

"He's the f**king problem. Steph is most dangerous when he doesn't have the ball.

"It's not many guys in our league that are most dangerous without the ball."

"Guarding Steph is uncomfortable," he added.

"Outside of Jordan. Steph is the most influential player of all time," one fan responded to a clip of the interview on X.

"It’s Jordan, LeBron, and Steph as the best basketball players of all time," argued a second.

"Steph Curry's impact goes beyond the ball; his presence alone commands respect on the court," said another.

"Steph + LeBron would've been 8 rings minimum," claimed a fourth.

LeBron, 39, and Curry, 36, both have four NBA titles apiece.

But Curry's Warriors teammate Draymond Green is confident Golden State (44-35) has the beating of the Lakers (45-35) in any potential showdown.

"We've beaten the Lakers the last couple of times," Green said on his podcast, via NBC.

"The Lakers are always a tough matchup, having [Anthony Davis] on the court always makes a difference.

"I am very confident if we played them in a play-in situation that we could win - that we will win.

"In saying that, anytime you're playing against AD and Bron in a one-game situation, it's tough.

"They're always more than capable of putting a great night together, and it's more likely in a one-game situation that they're going to put a great night together than a bad night. So it's always tough.

"Nonetheless, that is where we are and I have total confidence that we can take advantage of some things that they do and win the game if that is the case."

The two teams last met on April 9, where it was Curry and the Warriors who dominated.

James dropped 33 points but was powerless to prevent a 134-120 loss.

Curry was locked in from three-point range, hitting all six of his attempts from beyond the arc.
