Griner and Cherelle were married in 2019 after Griner's first marriage ended in 2016.

The upcoming birth of their child will be Griner's third child after she had two in her previous marriage.

She had twins with her ex-wife Glory Johnson, a fellow WNBA player, in 2015 but they divorced just a year later.

Griner and Johnson both plead guilty to disorderly conduct charges due to domestic violence issues during their marriage.

The exciting news comes soon after Griner signed a new contract to remain with the Phoenix Mercury.
