Taylor Swift fans convinced new song Alchemy is about Travis Kelce with cryptic ‘Chiefs’ clues hidden in lyrics

TAYLOR Swift's new album has dropped and fans think the penultimate song is loaded with Travis Kelce references.

The Tortured Poets Department went live at midnight and the 15th track The Alchemy went viral within minutes.

Swift appears to have taken inspiration from her trip to the Super Bowl, where she watched her boyfriend lift the trophy with the Kansas City Chiefs.

"Chiefs chanting 'cause they said. There was no chance. Trying to be the greatest in the league. Where's the trophy? He just comes running over to me," she sings in the bridge.

And the chorus continues: "Touch down. Call the amateurs and cut them from the team. Ditch the clowns, get the crown, baby I'm the one to beat. 'Cause the sign on your heart said it's still reserved for me. Honestly, who are we to fight the alchemy?"

Swifties were quick to speculate on the lyrics.

"The alchemy is clearly about travis lmao touchdown, greatest in the league, gloves on the bench... where's the trophy he just comes running over to me," posted one on X.

Another commented, "There is one beautiful surprise - The Alchemy is about Travis!

"References touchdowns, teammates, trophies and how they had an instant connection they couldn't resist."

"I also think the alchemy is about Travis. It fits perfectly," posted another.

Ahead of February's Super Bowl, Kelce said he had been given a sneak preview of some of the songs.

"'I have heard some of it and yes, it's unbelievable,' he said. "I can't wait for her to shake up the world when it finally drops."

Swift and Kelce were spotted at Coachella last week - and a psychic matchmaker believes the Super Bowl ring might not be the only one the tight end gets his hands on this year.

Deborah Graham claimed Kelce will soon propose.

"The stars are aligned for these two at the moment,” she told The U.S. Sun.

"I see the relationship moving forward, and I see it moving towards that next level.

"The difficulty is that I see two life paths for them and two rings - I see two marriages there for both of them."

Kelce is taking on a dramatic new career venture.

And after the success of his hit podcast New Heights, the star tight end is turning his attention to TV.

"I grew up loving game shows, and I’m excited to be following in the footsteps of so many TV icons by hosting my very first one with Are You Smarter Than a Celebrity," Kelce said, via the Hollywood Reporter.

"The original show is a great success, so to be bringing a new format with everyone’s favorite celebrities to the screen, will definitely be entertaining.

"I’m just happy to be on the hosting side of the equation here and excited to see how these famous faces keep up."
