Edwards, 41, is reportedly on the radar of Ipswich Town following their promotion to the Premier League.

The Tractor Boys were led to the top flight by Kieran McKenna off the back of back-to-back promotions from League One.

However, the former Manchester United coach is gaining interest from existing Premier League sides.

Brighton and Hove Albion are keen on McKenna following Roberto De Zerbi's shock exit from the club.

The Italian has been linked with switches to European giants such as Barcelona, Bayern Munich, Juventus and AC Milan.

Chelsea and Man United have also been tipped with an interest in the Northern Irishman.

TalkSPORT have claimed that Ipswich could make a move for Edwards should McKenna leave Portman Road.

Edwards has a contract at Kenilworth Road that is believed to run until 2026.

This means that the Prem newcomers will have to agree a deal with the Hatters to capture the manager.
