THE Belmont Stakes is right around the corner - and there will be a new home for the oldest Triple Crown race this year.

Belmont Park has primarily hosted the iconic horse racing event since 1905.

But this year the third and final leg of the Triple Crown will take place at Saratoga Racecourse.

The reason behind the change is so Belmont Park can undergo major renovations, including replacing the grandstand and all three racecourses.

These significant changes will keep the Belmont Stakes away from Belmont Park for at least two years.
