The 28-year-old played a huge role in Xabi Alonso’s side going the entire Bundesliga campaign unbeaten but the lure of Bayern looks to be too strong.

Now Kompany is reportedly also looking to add Colwill to his backline.

The 21-year-old is believed to be aware of Bayern’s interest, according to the Daily Mail.

However, Chelsea currently do not want to sell their academy graduate.

Colwill shone two seasons ago while on loan at Brighton as he helped the Seagulls to qualify for Europe.

That came after he had impressed in the Championship on loan at Huddersfield Town 12 months earlier.

Those displays led to him receiving a first England call-up in August after he had returned to Chelsea.

Mauricio Pochettino instantly made him part of his first-team squad at Stamford Bridge.

He made 32 appearances in total before injuries hampered the latter part of his season.

Chelsea's top summer transfer targets

The 2023 European U21 Championship winner would not be the only Englishman at Bayern should they push ahead and get their man.

Three Lions captain Harry Kane leads their attack while Eric Dier has extended his short-term deal until 2025.

Meanwhile, Kompany is willing to release SIX big name Bayern Munich stars, including Manchester United target Matthijs de Ligt.
