The fight night was Rodgers' first public appearance since his unexcused absence from Jets camp.

Rodgers attended the fight with his former teammate Marcedes Lewis in a crowd of 18,881 fans.

The Jets quarterback reportedly was on a trip to Egypt during his absence from training camp.

Former teammate Marquez Valdes-Scantling explained that Rodgers was back to getting work in though on The Herd with Colin Cowherd on FS1.

"Me and Aaron have been great friends since I had been in Green Bay. I hit him up, told him I was coming out to LA, and said, 'Let’s run some routes,'" Valdes-Scantling said.

“So we got it in. Went out to some high school and ran some routes together.

“We’re good. It was good.”

Host Jason McIntyre then burst out in excitement about Rodgers being back in the US.

"All the New York media can stand down," he said.

"Aaron Rodgers is back from Egypt! It’s not a secret anymore!"

Before it was known that Rodgers was in Egypt, Jets head coach Robert Saleh simply explained it as an "unexcused absence."

However, Saleh downplayed the severity of the absence in a press conference.

"Aaron and I are on the exact same page," Saleh said.

"There’s no issue between Aaron [and me] or his teammates, for that matter.

"We addressed it [Tuesday]. It’s more of an issue for everyone outside the building than it is inside. That’s about it."

Some have claimed Rodgers' behavior to be hypocritical, as he previously stated that non-football distractions need to be removed from the team.

"Anything in this building that we're doing that has nothing to do with winning needs to be assessed," Rodgers said in January.

"Everything that we do has to have a purpose … the s*** that has nothing to do with winning has to get out of the building."

Just months later he skipped out on minicamp with his teammates.
