  • Time for Emma

    Alcaraz's four-hour thriller is done.

So now it's time for Emma Raducanu on Centre Court.

She's up against Maria Sakkari in a repeat of their 2021 US Open semi-final.

We all know how that one turned out...

  • Carlos or Jude?

    Carlos Alcaraz or Jude Bellingham?

Well, both of them have got out of sticky, tricky situations to grasp victory from the jaws of defeat in the last week.

And so it is somewhat fitting that Alcaraz celebrates with that iconic celebration...

  • Alcaraz survives Tiafoe test!

Carlos Alcaraz's title defence remains on track as he secures a huge five sets victory over Frances Tiafoe.

The Spaniard, 21, was forced to dig deep against the American, who had led by two sets to one on Centre Court.

Alcaraz was far from his sparkling best, but managed to conjure enough moments of magic when he needed them most - prevailing 5-7 6-2 4-6 7-6 6-2.

Next up he'll face the winner of Brandon Nakashima and Ugo Humbert.

  • Alcaraz not done yet!

Defending champion Carlos Alcaraz has won the fourth set tiebreak 7-2 to take his epic Wimbledon third round with Frances Tiafoe to a fifth set!

The Spaniard, 21, has not been at his best today, but ramped up his intensity and quality when it mattered most in the breaker!

At 5-1 down in the tiebreak, Tiafoe, who already has a knee sleeve on, suffered a heavy slip on the baseline.

Thankfully he has been able to continue, and will now go into a fifth set, with Alcaraz having levelled the match 5-7 6-2 4-6 7-6.

  • Serena's super message for Sir Andy

Serena Williams hailed her former mixed-doubles partner Andy Murray in the Wimbledon tribute video ahead of his retirement...

I've always enjoyed watching you - one of the main reasons is because you were one of the few players who would be more angry than me on the court which is a very hard thing to do.

Playing alongside you was one of the highlights of my life. So I'm just so grateful that I had that experience and I also hold a special place in my heart to you because you always speak out so much for women.

Congratulations on such an amazing career.

  • Carlos Alcaraz in trouble!

Well, well, well - we could have a major result on our hands here on Centre Court!

Frances Tiafoe leads defending champion Carlos Alcaraz 7-5 2-6 6-4 and is bringing it to the Spaniard!

Alcaraz famously beat Tiafoe in the semi-finals of the US Open in 2022, leaving the American crushed.

The 26-year-old is now just one set away from taking his revenge.

  • Federer is in the house

    The main man is here.

Roger Federer just walked right past SunSport here at the All England Club.

He was decked out in a typically-stylish navy suit - and his On white trainers - and surrounded by a host of security guards.

There is some confusion around Federer's lack of appearance at Murray's ceremony last night.

The Swiss great was on site during the day yesterday but kept a low profile.

He was expected to be on court as part of the presentation - but was nowhere to be seen.

It is unclear whether it got too late and he needed to be back with his family or if he didn't want to overshadow Murray's big moment.

We understand Federer did speak with Murray before the Brit went on to court to play his doubles match with brother Jamie.

  • Alcaraz vs Tiafoe latest

We hoped this match would deliver, and so far it has.

Frances Tiafoe played brilliantly to pinch the first set 7-5, but defending champion Carlos Alcaraz has since upped his game.

The Spaniard now leads 5-7 6-2 1-0, but this one could yet have a long way to go!

  • 'Can't mention that'

So when Castle referenced the Centre Court spat on BBC One, Kyrgios immediately put a stop to the conversation.

Castle said: "Draper is a bit irritated by someone. Maybe they've had 500 beers, mate?"

Kyrgios replied: "Aww, no! We can't mention that, I'll get in trouble!"

Castle then asked: "Since when do you try to avoid that? Turning over a new leaf? Being a good boy?"

And the Aussie laughed: "Yeah, you're not wrong. I'm trying to find the balance."

  • In the Nick

Nick Kyrgios shut down his co-commentator Andrew Castle live on the BBC at Wimbledon - because he brought up a touchy subject about his legal affairs.

The controversial Aussie, 29, is sitting out of this year's Championships as he continues his recovery from wrist surgery.

But while calling Jack Draper vs Cameron Norrie, Castle - who was labelled a "clown" by Kyrgios last year - referenced Kyrgios' infamous moment in the 2022 final when he said a fan had consumed "700 drinks".

That spectator turned out to be Polish lawyer Ania Palus, who had only drunk a Pimm's and a rose, and sued him for defamation to clear his name.

That led to a settlement in which Kyrgios apologised and donated £20,000 to the Great Ormond Street Hospital Charity, chosen by Palus.

  • 'That's not a normal thing'

Murray said: "I better say something about my wife because otherwise I'll get in trouble if I don't, but this is probably going to be the hard part.

"Me and Kim first met when I was 18 in New York, we went out for dinner at the US Open.

"I choked the first time, we walked her to her hotel and I asked her for her email address. I don't think that's a normal thing to do.

"She came along to watch my first match live at US Open, I vomited twice in that match, once right in front of where she was sitting and I then stood up and vomited on my opponent’s racquet bag.

"She still liked me. I knew she was a keeper after that."

The TV cameras then cut to Kim who appeared somewhat flustered by her husband's honest and very public revelations.

  • He Muzz stop

Andy Murray had wife Kim cringing in the Centre Court crowd as he revealed embarrassing details about their first date.

Kim was joined by two of their daughters and Andy's mum Judy in the player box for an emotional farewell to the retiring hero of British sport.

Murray teamed up with brother Jamie in a doubles defeat before a host of tennis stars past and present joined him on court with the returning Sue Barker.

A tribute video featuring Wimbledon heroes Roger Federer, Serena Williams, Rafael Nadal and Novak Djokovic was played on the screen before Barker interviewed a tearful Murray in front of the 15,000 fans.

During the speech, Murray paid tribute to his family - singling out wife Kim for her ongoing love and support.

But in doing so, he opened up on details about when they first met, asking for her email address and how he puked right in front of her.

  • Wimbledon chiefs on Murray/Raducanu

Wimbledon chiefs have admitted that they will be "reactive" with their scheduling of Andy Murray's mixed doubles first round alongside Emma Raducanu.

Murray, 37, is set for a final SW19 swansong when he plays with fellow British Major champion Raducanu in the mixed event.

The match is initially set to be scheduled tomorrow, but organisers, and the BBC, will be keen to ensure that it does not clash with England's Euro 2024 quarter-final against Switzerland.

On when the match could take place, tournament organiser Jamie Baker said: "The things that we have to juggle is that with the football matches we know exactly what time they are but with tennis matches you don't know exactly what time.

"You have to be a little bit reactive and we have a huge team of people who are very experienced so it's bread and butter for them those things."

  • Break, break

We are underway on No1 Court with Andreescu breaking Paolini in the opening game.

But then the French Open finalist, seeded seventh at Wimbledon, broke straight back.

The outside courts are warming up, too, with the pick of the bunch on No3 where Daria Kasatkina faced Paula Badosa.

  • Today's schedule

So this is what we have in store for today on the two show courts, which crucially can both get action even when it's raining.

    It's third-round singles action today.

    Centre Court (from 1.30pm)

    • C. Alcaraz (ESP) 3 v F. Tiafoe (USA) 29
    • E. Raducanu (GBR) v M. Sakkari (GRE) 9
    • J. Sinner (ITA) 1 v M. Kecmanovic (SRB)

    No1 Court (from 1pm)

    • J. Paolini (ITA) 7 v B. Andreescu (CAN)
    • G. Dimitrov (BUL) 10 v G. Monfils (FRA)
    • S. Kartal (GBR) v C. Gauff (USA) 2
  • Weather update

    Hmmm.

It started raining again quite heavily and has now cleared up a lot more - I feel this may be a recurring theme throughout the day.

Still we know we can get tennis in half an hour when Jasmine Paolini and Bianca Andreescu open up No1 Court under the roof.

  • Rain, rain go away

    Oooh.

It is certainly a lot brighter now than it was a few minutes ago.

The current not-before time is 12pm.

And if things stay like this, we might be on course for that.

Covers still on as it stands...

  • No sign of tennis just yet

Hmm. Tennis was due to start here three minutes ago.

However, it is raining pretty heavily right now and the covers remain over with umbrellas up around the grounds.

    Not pleasant!

  • Day five is here

SunSport are back on site at the All England Club - just 12 hours after we paid an emotional farewell to Sir Andy Murray.

Murray and his brother Jamie lost in the doubles before a wonderful ceremony honouring the two-time singles champion, hosted by the returning Sue Barker.

The Scots finished their press conference at 9.59:36pm last night - giving us 24 seconds to switch over for the 10pm exit polls.

And after heading off into the sunset last night - Murray is still due to play mixed doubles with Emma Raducanu tomorrow - the skies of SW19 are crying today.

It rained heavily overnight and has been drizzling all morning.

Play on the outside courts is due to start at 11am but at this rate, that seems unlikely.

  • Kyrgios aims jibe at Djokovic

Nick Kyrgios joked he does not like Novak Djokovic after the Serb beat him in the 2022 Wimbledon final.

Djokovic lost last year's final to Carlos Alcarav, prompting Kyrgios' complaint.

He said while commentating for the BBC: "I still don't like you Novak if you're listening. You gave Carlos one one year but you didn't give me one.

"It is still one of the best matches I've watched. One of the only ones from start to finish."

  • Broady explains Jack Grealish tribute

Wimbledon star and Manchester City fan Liam Broady has revealed why he began emulating Jack Grealish's celebration.

He told the Man City podcast: “I think it was before the start of his second season that I first saw that celebration.

“I feel Jack just gets an inordinate amount of abuse and I think even he doesn’t know why – nor does any City.

“So I was desperate for Jack to do well and I remember him scoring in one game and he put his fingers in his ears and I just thought ‘yes’ that’s his message to his detractors that he can’t hear them.

“So when I did it, it was just because it was a cool celebration more than anything else.

“I always feel I know what fans want to see at Wimbledon, so I always play up to it when I’m there.”

  • Games to watch today

Carlos Alcaraz (3) vs Frances Tiafoe

Emma Raducanu vs Maria Sakkari (9)

Jannik Sinner (1) vs Miomir Kecmanovic

    Sonay Cartal vs Coco Gauff

  • Emma Raducanu in action

Emma Raducanu is back in action today at Wimbledon.

Raducanu will face off against Greek star Maria Sakkari.

The two aces will face off in the third round at Centre Court.

Their match will kick off at 1.30pm BST.
