Brady was fuming over Gronk, 35, running the wrong route and chewed him out.

“I remember I ran a flag route, and I ran inside the guy instead of getting outside of him, and he flipped out on me in the meeting after the practice and told me he’s never going to throw me the ball again,” Gronkowski said on Julian Edelman’s Games with Names podcast.

“I just wanted to prove Tom wrong. Like, ‘All right, I’m going to run this flag route every time now and you’re never going to throw me the ball. But I’m going to be open by five yards and you’re going look like the idiot now.’

"And that happened and then he threw me the ball about 600 more times from there on out.”

Gronkowski and Brady, 46, ended up becoming the most prolific quarterback-tight end duo ever.

They won Super Bowls with the New England Patriots and Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

“That’s why he got on my a** all the time. I didn’t really like him my rookie year.

"I mean, he was just getting on my case, just non-stop, and it was kind of mindf**king me so much.”

Howie Long thinks Tom Brady could be the next great analyst.

"People are going to tune in for Tom," Long said.

"Generally you say the game is what draws people in, and I think that’s still true. Dallas-Philadelphia, people are going to tune in but it’s like John Madden.

"You’re watching John Madden do a football game and he brings a different element.

"Tom’s insight into situational football, into moments that he’s had during his career, challenges, things that you’re facing on the field in real time, he can reference.
