The former Louisiana State forward finished with 10 points and 10 rebounds in the 91-76 loss.

Controversial analyst Whitlock lashed out at the WNBA during an extraordinary rant on his podcast Fearless prior to the game.

"The entire WNBA is in on the Angel Reese gimmick," Whitlock said, per The Daily Mail.

Whitlock focused in on a play in the closing moments of Chicago's win over the Atlanta Dream on Wednesday.

Reese was fouled with just seconds remaining despite the Sky being three possessions ahead.

The foul sent her to the free throw line, allowing her to score the one point she needed to continue the double-double streak.

"The Atlanta Dream fouled her down by 3 possessions with 6 seconds remaining just so Reese could keep the double-double streak alive," Whitlock claimed.

"They're up seven points with 12 seconds to play.

"In 99.9 percent of games, the other team doesn't even defend you.

"They let the clock run out and everybody goes into the locker room."

Whitlock went on to claim Reese is given preferential treatment by referees as opposed to fellow rookie Caitlin Clark.

The two are battling out to be Rookie Player of the Year, with Clark currently averaging 16.7 points, 5.9 rebounds, and 7.6 assists per game.

"When I watch this clip, the ref seems to be in on it," he added.

"Because this whistle seems real quick to me.

"You don't have to call that foul. Nor do you have to commit that foul."

"The WNBA desperately wants anyone but Caitlin Clark to be the ROTY," agreed one fan on X.

"The Fever are easily the worst team in the league without Caitlin. Bottom line," said another.

"They overly rigged it tonight to get her double double. Obvious and pathetic," claimed a third.

"WWE is more believable than pro basketball, less scripted," claimed a fourth.

"Angel has 14 double doubles. What is one game? And you didn’t watch cause Angel already had the ball in her hand to score. No one had to foul her," countered a fifth.

Reese will look to keep her historic streak going on Saturday as the Sky (9-13) face the Liberty again at the Wintrust Arena.
