AT THE DOUBLE

WNBA referees and players accused of corruption to ‘boost Angel Reese over Caitlin Clark’ as fans call league ‘rigged’

Caitlin Clark and Reese are vying for this year's Rookie of the Year

The former Louisiana State forward finished with 10 points and 10 rebounds in the 91-76 loss.

Controversial analyst Whitlock lashed out at the WNBA during an extraordinary rant on his podcast Fearless prior to the game.

"The entire WNBA is in on the Angel Reese gimmick," Whitlock said, per The Daily Mail.

Whitlock focused in on a play in the closing moments of Chicago's win over the Atlanta Dream on Wednesday.

Reese was fouled with just seconds remaining despite the Sky being three possessions ahead.

The foul sent her to the free throw line, allowing her to score the one point she needed to continue the double-double streak.

"The Atlanta Dream fouled her down by 3 possessions with 6 seconds remaining just so Reese could keep the double-double streak alive," Whitlock claimed.

"They're up seven points with 12 seconds to play.

"Angel has 14 double doubles. What is one game? And you didn’t watch cause Angel already had the ball in her hand to score. No one had to foul her," countered a fifth.

Reese will look to keep her historic streak going on Saturday as the Sky (9-13) face the Liberty again at the Wintrust Arena.
