He joined GMFB from Bears training camp to discuss his travel plans.

Owens, who bought Biles a $46,000 gift before the Games, is being excused from practice to see his wife compete.

"I'm gonna practice today, my flight is later this evening so I'll end up getting there about 9 am Paris time," he told GMFB's Jamie Erdahl.

"She competes that evening so I'll try get acclimated, maybe sneak and see her and make sure her mind's right and everything.

"I'm very excited to be there so can't wait."

Former NFL star Akbar Gbajabiamila has joined GMFB as a co-host and joked that when he was playing "only death" could get you out of camp before asking Owens what his secret was.

"Basically, man, you just have to come at it super respectful," replied Owens, who joined the Bears earlier this year.

"The Bears they understood that it was an Olympic year.

"So once I signed and everything, that was the first question we asked was like, 'The Olympics is coming up, we would appreciate it if you let him go and support his wife.'"

"I originally gave them two dates, I wanted to either go for the team final which is the 30th, or the all-around final on August 2nd.

"They ended up telling me both dates were fine.

"It's a super first-class organization and I'm so thankful they let me go."

Biles showed why she's one of the stars of the Paris Olympics with a stunning performance on Sunday.

The US gymnast, 27, shrugged off her Tokyo disappointment three years ago to put on a flawless showing despite carrying an injury.

She was the class of the field in women's qualifying, helping Team USA to qualify for the team final.
