Basketball fans joke Steph Curry should be ‘benched for rest of Olympics’ after NBA star’s nightmare against South Sudan
STEPH Curry might want to throw away the tape after his showing against South Sudan in the Paris Olympics.
NBA fans weren't afraid to call out the Golden State Warriors superstar for his performance in Team USA's 103-86 victory over South Sudan on Wednesday.
Curry went 1-for-9 from the field, including 0-for-6 from deep.
The two-time MVP only scored three points.
Curry played in 21 minutes of play as he did record four assists and one rebound.
The 36-year-old was one of six players to score in double digits for Team USA during Sunday's win against Serbia, as he recorded 11 points while shooting 3-of-7 from downtown along with three rebounds and three assists.

But Curry is now just 7-for-29 from long distance over his last four games, including the final two of the squad's exhibition outings.
NBA fans shared their worries concerning the 10-time NBA All-Star on X.
"I don't know what's wrong with Steph. He's playing horrible in the Olympics," one commented.
"Chef Curry decided to not cook today," another wrote.
"My idol was shooting bricks," a third added.
"Curry should be benched for the rest of the Olympics," a fourth added.
It's still expected that Curry will be one of Team USA's leading perimeter shooters for head coach Steve Kerr, who is the NBA star's head coach for the Warriors.
This is Curry's first Olympics in his career.
Miami Heat's Bam Adebayo led the way for the Americans with 18 points in their victory over South Sudan.
NBA stars Kevin Durant, LeBron James, Anthony Davis, Devin Booker, and Derrick White finished in double figures in scoring as well.
Joel Embiid was the only Team USA player to not appear against South Sudan.
Team USA will advance to play in the knockout stage of the Olympic men's basketball tourney.
