WWE star Becky Lynch urges The Rock’s daughter to not replicate her dad and ‘perform in her own right’
BECKY LYNCH has urged Simone Johnson not to use her legendary father The Rock’s People’s Elbow in order to cement her own WWE legacy.
The 18-year-old daughter of The Great One has just been signed to WWE’s Performance Center as she embarks on her quest to become the first fourth-generation fighter in the sport's history.
Following in the footsteps of the Most Electrifying Man in Sports Entertainment, granddad Rocky Johnson and grandfather Peter Maivia, the youngster has already acknowledged she has big shoes to fill.
And with dad Rock, real name Dwayne Johnson, a huge Hollywood star, the spotlight will no doubt be shining even brighter on her.
But Raw Women’s Champion Lynch has already offered new recruit Simone some advice on how to avoid comparisons to her famous family.
When quizzed by TMZ on whether she should incorporate The People’s Elbow into her in-ring arsenal, “The Man” said: “You know what, no.
“I think maybe there will be a chance for it, but I think it'll be good for her to try and make her own way.
“Don't rely on the past, don't rely on what got other people over.
“Try to make something new for yourself.
“I think there's merit in that.
