Just 1:40 into the game, Minnesota forward Jaden McDaniels and Golden State star shooting guard Klay Thompson were tangled up in a transition.

Thompson held McDaniels' jersey which led to the two players not letting go of one another as they went down the court.

Both swung around as McDaniels ripped Thompson's jersey and then swung at the five-time NBA All-Star.

Multiple players on each team and two refs attempted to stop the altercation.

Then, the Warriors four-time All-Star power forward Green put Gobert in a headlock as coaches and players jumped in to separate both players as well as Thompson and McDaniels.

The refs reviewed the sequence and McDaniels and Thompson were given two technical fouls each.

Green was handed a flagrant foul 2.

Three players were ejected as X, formerly Twitter, users gave plenty of reactions to the situation, with one writing: "Draymond's gonna be in trouble.

But Beverley, a current Philadelphia 76ers guard and known for his physicality, also chimed in on the situation.

The three-time NBA All-Defensive Team member posted a pic of Green head-locking Gobert and wrote: "Draymond has been waiting for this moment for so long."

Minnesota defeated Golden State 104-101 in the meeting.

The Warriors were already missing Steph Curry due to a right knee sprain.

This was Green's second ejection after he was thrown out against the Cleveland Cavaliers on Saturday.

After the game, Gobert called out Green and felt the Warriors forward wanted to be thrown out early after finding out Curry was out for Tuesday's showdown.

“Every time Steph doesn’t play, he doesn’t want to play without his guy Steph so he does anything he can to get ejected," the 31-year-old said, via The Athletic.
