Kansas City tight end Kelce slammed the press for "pointing fingers" at Chiefs skill players over their recent rocky run.

The reigning Super Bowl champions are 8-5 on the NFL season and dropped to a controversial defeat against the Buffalo Bills on Sunday.

Kelce is enjoying another prolific season and has racked up 80 receptions for 896 yards and 5 touchdowns across 13 games.

Speaking on podcast New Heights alongside his brother Jason, Travis lashed out at criticism of his teammates after several high-profile drops.

He said: "We're not rolling like we have been in the past. There's a lot of media pointing fingers at some of the skill players we have.

"I say f*** that. Excuse my language, we usually cuss in light-hearted ways but I felt like you guys had to feel that."

On Thursday's edition of First Take, Stephen A. was played the clip alongside Mina Kimes and Dan Orlovsky - and hit back hard.

Stephen A. roared: "I always joked Travis is my brother from another mother. I love the hell out of him, I really do.

"But no, I'm not vibing with you on this bro. He's saying 'F that'? Well, F that.

"No, no. I'm gonna say this right now. You got 33 damn drops on this season.

"I don't hear no nonsense about the media. Travis, you know where to find me bro.

"That's nonsense. That's some BS. Your receivers are dropping passes. They're running wrong routes. They're not even lining up correctly. Offside, really?!"

Fans were quick to comment, with one writing on X: "Travis Kelce. SA spot on."

Another said: "If the Chiefs receivers knew how to catch the ball they would have a better record. Because Patrick has put those receivers in game-winning situations where they came up short. Dan orlovsky and Travis Kelce need to shut their mouth."

While a third added: "Can’t believe I’m agreeing with SAS on something but I AGREE WITH SAS."

And a fourth agreed: "SA go get Kelce!! Kelce needs to shut up and look at his team."

Earlier on Thursday's show, ESPN viewers were in awe at host Molly Qerim's "stunning" on-air outfit.
