Tottenham to move for Ajax star Hakim Ziyech as Christian Eriksen replacement

TOTTENHAM are reportedly lining-up Ajax’s Hakim Ziyech as a replacement for Christian Eriksen.

The Dane has made it clear he wants to quit the North London side and will be out of contract next summer.

Spurs could be open to selling the attacker in January rather than losing him for nothing.

And according to 90min they already have a list of players to fill the void, with the 26-year-old Moroccan international “high on their wish list”.

It goes on to state that the Premier League club are “currently investigating how much it would cost to lure him away” from the Dutch giants.

Ziyech is under contract at Ajax until 2022 and would therefore command a hefty fee.

But his form has not just caught the eye of Spurs, with both Arsenal and Manchester United previously linked.

And it is little surprise following his exploits, racking up 21 goals and 24 assists for the Eredivisie outfit last season from inside-forward.

However, he is just one of a number of players under consideration by Spurs.

They have deployed scouts all across Europe to try and find a suitable alternative.

And they are believed to be also keeping a close eye on Sporting CP’s Bruno Fernandes, Roma’s Lorenzo Pellegrini and Brais Mendez of Celta Vigo.
