Man Utd receive huge injury boost with Pogba and Bailly closing in on return ahead of hectic Christmas schedule

MANCHESTER UNITED duo Paul Pogba and Eric Bailly are reportedly nearing a return to training to hand Ole Gunnar Solskjaer a huge boost.

With the Red Devils set to play 12 games between November 24 to December 1, they need every player fit with the Norwegian likely to rotate his starting XI.

According to ESPN, Bailly is targeting a return to light training after the international break as he steps up his recovery from injury.

They also claim that Pogba is nearing a comeback from his right foot problem, with the World Cup winner having his cast removed yesterday.

Ivory Coast international Bailly has been out since the summer after he required surgery on his knee.

He damaged his medial ligament in a pre-season clash against Tottenham in July.

The centre-back - who is a free agent at the end of the season - no longer needs crutches to walk.

Meanwhile, Pogba has been out since September 30 after he picked up an injury in the 1-1 draw against Arsenal at Old Trafford.

The ex-Juventus midfielder claimed earlier this month that he aims to return to first team action by the end of November.
