Chelsea ace Reece James joins Lukaku in linking up with Jay Z’s Roc Nation management company along with dad and sister

CHELSEA starlet Reece James is the latest sports star to sign up with Jay Z's Roc Nation Sports management company.

The 19-year-old joins the likes of former Manchester United striker Romelu Lukaku, Manchester City star Kevin De Bruyne and Bayern Munich defender Jerome Boateng on the client list.

And it's a real family affair - his sister Lauren, a forward on Manchester United's books and his dad Nigel, who runs a football academy, have also signed up.

Speaking about the move, Reece said: "Joining the Roc Nation family alongside my own family is a very special feeling.

"Family means everything to me, and I could tell from day one just how highly Roc Nation values it. I look forward to a great partnership with Roc Nation who will manage my off-the-pitch activities as only they can.

Lauren added: “I’m thrilled to be joining the Roc Nation family and the other impressive footballers they have on their roster.

"The Roc Nation team has been incredibly welcoming, and it’s special to be joining the family alongside my own.

"I am looking forward to our future successes on and off the pitch alongside them.”

JAMES PUSHING AZPILICUETA

Reece is heralded as one of Chelsea's hottest prospects, and is battling club captain Cesar Azpilicueta for the right-back spot.

He is a regular in Aidy Boothroyd's England U21 squad, with many expecting him to get a full call-up by Gareth Southgate this season.

The teenager spent last season on loan with Championship side Derby.

His father Nigel said: "Our entire family is thrilled to join the Roc Nation team.

"Football has played an important role in our lives and I’m excited to see Lauren and Reece’s careers continue to flourish with the support of Roc Nation and this special partnership.”

Jay-Z's Roc Nation Sports talent stable is an extension of his entertainment company Roc Nation, which counts chart-topping superstars such as Shakira and DJ Khaled among its ranks.

Also in the ranks is the likes of Golden State Warriors star Kevin Durant.
