Xbox announces that people can now play the latest Call of Duty game for free on PC and console
XBOX acquired publisher Activision Blizzard last year for almost $70billion, and promised to bring its games to Game Pass.
Activision Blizzard owns a number of important game series, such as Diablo, World of Warcraft, Crash Bandicoot and Call of Duty.
So far, most of these games haven’t been added to Game Pass, with the exception of Diablo 4.
However, what most people have been waiting for are the games from the Call of Duty series.
Xbox announced that the upcoming Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 will be added to Game Pass Ultimate in October.
While we all wait for that release, Xbox made the latest Call of Duty game available for Game Pass players.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 launched late last year and received mixed reviews thanks to its short and lacklustre single-player campaign.
Despite this, many players still enjoy its online multiplayer, and most people only play the latest release.
There have been rumours that Modern Warfare 3 would soon come to Game Pass, and the day is finally here.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 is now available for Xbox Game Pass Standard, Xbox Game Pass for PC, and Xbox Game Pass Ultimate.

The only tier that will not be able to take advantage of the new addition is Xbox Game Pass Core.
Xbox recently changed its Game Pass plans, replacing Xbox Game Pass for Console with Xbox Game Pass Standard.
The new Standard plan doesn’t include day-one releases, but this doesn’t affect Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 as it is almost a year old.
Standard now also includes online console multiplayer, so you won’t need another subscription in order to play the online modes.
The downside is that all Game Pass tiers have seen a price increase, meaning that your subscription will cost more each month.
