Kourtney and Travis Had the Goth Wedding of Their Dreams

Kourtney Kardashian and Travis Barker have officially tied the knot. Again. The couple celebrated their nuptials for the third time this weekend with an extravagant weekend in Italy. To be fair, their first wedding in Las Vegas was just for practice. Their second, in Santa Barbara, California, last weekend, made their marriage official, legally speaking. However, this third wedding was the gorgeous and spooky gala one has come to expect from this horny, goth couple.

The event took place on Sunday at a castle in Portofino, Italy. The Kardashian-Jenner clan was in attendance, obviously, along with close friends like Barker’s former Blink-182 bandmate Mark Hoppus. Fellow horny couple Megan Fox and Machine Gun Kelly were also at the affair, according to People. The wedding included a performance from Andrea Bocelli and his son, Matteo, who sang renditions of “Can’t Help Falling in Love” and “Love in Portofino.” Kravis is nothing if not entirely on the nose.

The most bizarre (yet fitting) aspect of the weekend is the fact that it was apparently sponsored by Dolce & Gabbana. Travis wore a sleek black tuxedo from the designers, and Kourtney wore a D&G minidress with a long, hand-embroidered veil that featured a large image of the Virgin Mary, the words family, loyalty, respect, and a cross-stitch technique meant to be reminiscent of one of Travis’s tattoos. However, they weren’t the only ones dressed in the label all weekend. As you can see in photographs from the Daily Mail, every member of the Kardashian-Jenner family wore Dolce & Gabbana throughout the multiday affair, with Kim wearing a crop top and
pantaboots,” and Kendall wearing a matching beige floral set for the pre-wedding festivities. North West also went all out, wearing outfits that included an all-blush pink ensemble and a black suit — my dark and sparkly queen. However, the #SponCon didn’t stop there.

Guests were transported to the wedding ceremony via speedboats decked out in pillows, blankets, and other accessories from the designer. Kravis reportedly stayed on a super-yacht owned by Stefano Gabbana, one of the label’s cofounders. There was even a Dolce & Gabbana pop-up shop that opened a few days before Kravis’s wedding, so the greater Italian public could also partake in the festivities by … buying Dolce & Gabbana. Kris Jenner posted about the shop in an Instagram Story, lest there were any doubts that the shop was entirely made to capitalize on Kravis’s wedding.

Dolce & Gabbana has been embroiled in scandal over the past decade. In 2012, the brand had models wear Blackamoor earrings down the runway. Later, co-founder Domenico Dolce spoke out against gay couples parenting. (He has since apologized.) In 2018, the label was accused of racism again after running an ad that featured a Chinese model trying, unsuccessfully, to eat Italian food with chopsticks. In 2019, Instagram account Diet Prada posted a screenshot of Stefano referring to the Kardashian-Jenners as “the most cheap people in the world.”

In regards to the latter, it seems the Kardashians got the last laugh, getting a wedding that was in great part paid for by the brand.
