Rebel Wilson made the most of her celebrity connections this weekend to propose to her girlfriend of one year, Ramona Agruma. The actress pulled out all the stops, including matching outfits, a ring from Tiffany’s, a shower of rose petals, and what appeared to be a private photoshoot in Disneyland, to pop the question in the most magical way possible.
Wilson revealed the engagement on Sunday, sharing two photos from the special day on Instagram with the caption “We said YES!” The actor also shared a close up of Agruma’s diamond ring, though there’s no word on whether Wilson will also be getting her own. Based on the photos, it looks like Wilson got down on one knee in front of Sleeping Beauty Castle to pop the question. Because nothing says romance like getting engaged in front of the castle of a teenage princess who meets her Prince Charming while unconscious. As for Wilson’s baby daughter, Royce Lillian, she appears to have stayed home.
If you didn’t peg Wilson as a Disney adult, you might have missed a few things. When she first took her relationship with Agruma public last year, she shared this message on Instagram: “I thought I was searching for a Disney Prince… but maybe what I really needed all this time was a Disney Princess.” A month later, Agruma shared a video montage of their summer adventures, cut to Aladdin’s “A Whole New World” and featuring some Disneyland footage. Wilson has also claimed to be related to the Walt Disney, though a familial connection hasn’t been confirmed.
In the caption to her engagement post, Wilson tagged @DisneyWeddings, thanking them for “pulling off this magical surprise!” Who knows, maybe a Disneyland destination wedding is in their future.
