Dong Lai was lucky enough to get her hands on a variety of food buys, including pepperoni pizzas, chicken drumsticks and a pack of 10 pork shoulder steaks.

Not only this, but she also nabbed a French guinea fowl and a large array of sweet treats too, including cookies, doughnuts, muffins and even a mega birthday cake.

Dong was thrilled to get her hands on the Oscar The Bear chocolate birthday cake, which was once priced at £12, but had since been slashed down to just 10p, saving a whopping £11.90.

She also stocked up on a selection of meat too. The large pack of chicken drumsticks were once £4.25, but this Sainsbury’s fan was thrilled to nab the pack for again, just 10p.

As well as this, the French guinea fowl was once marked at £8.95, but had also been slashed to 10p, saving Dong £8.85.

But that’s not all, she also saved £7.90 on a pack of pork shoulder steaks, after they had been reduced from £8 to 10p.

For those that have a sweet tooth, you’ll be impressed to see that this shopper was able to get her hands on a generous pack of 12 chocolate iced ring doughnuts, which were once £3.45, for only 10p.

Social media users were clearly left thrilled at Dong’s cheap buys, as the post was shared just nine hours ago, but has quickly racked up over 440 likes.

"THAT'S INSANE!"

Food fans rushed to the comments to share their thoughts on Dong’s finds, as many praised the much-loved retailer for their epic deals.

One person said: “Where are these people living???? I never see meat or cake for 10p and I collect some things in the Olio app... I live in Manchester and I never see these prices.”

Another added: “Best reductions I've seen!”

How can I save money on my supermarket shop?

THERE are plenty of ways to save on your grocery shop.

You can look out for yellow or red stickers on products, which show when they've been reduced.

If the food is fresh, you'll have to eat it quickly or freeze it for another time.

Making a list should also save you money, as you'll be less likely to make any rash purchases when you get to the supermarket.

Going own brand can be one easy way to save hundreds of pounds a year on your food bills too.

This means ditching "finest" or "luxury" products and instead going for "own" or value" type of lines.

Plenty of supermarkets run wonky veg and fruit schemes where you can get cheap prices if they're misshapen or imperfect.

For example, Lidl runs its Waste Not scheme, offering boxes of 5kg of fruit and vegetables for just £1.50.

If you're on a low income and a parent, you may be able to get up to £442 a year in Healthy Start vouchers to use at the supermarket too.

Plus, many councils offer supermarket vouchers as part of the Household Support Fund.

Whilst someone else penned: “Good on you, nice mixture of goodies. I'm never that lucky, I've had a few good things over the years but not that good.”

At the same time, another bargain hunter beamed: “That's insane!!!”
