The interior of the £47million superyacht has been designed by the legendary H2 Yacht Design, with backlit onyx, gold inlays, and polished timbers running the lengths of the boat.

The deck of the yacht features a dramatic main saloon filled with Roberto Cavalli furniture, a cosy fireplace and a mini aquarium.

In all, Leona has five cabins, including two VIP rooms on the main deck and one grand bedroom which is part of the extravagant palatial suite.

Glimpses of exquisite marble, gold finishes and mirrors can be seen everywhere in the suite which features a round bathtub, a private interior lounge, and a terrace with a spa pool.

James Bermudez, the director of H2 Yacht Design, said: "The interior of Leona uses a bold, opulent palette incorporating a high level of intricate detailing.

"[There is a] heavy use of decorative finishes and interesting textures: gloss lacquers, backlit onyx, figurative timbers, gold inlays and luxurious textiles are combined throughout.

"We learned quickly that the client didn’t react positively to the understated design.

"He required us to be bold and turn up the volume."

Apart from the owner's suite, the yacht also decks a plush red velvet-clad cinema room with a 102-inch OLED screen, a luxurious piano bar, a sky lounge and an indoor gym.

But the real deal of Leona is the dramatic beach club with a one-of-a-kind swimming pool that secretly sits at the back of the vessel.

Marble runs across the walls and floor of the club while the ceiling is finished with modern night-sky pattern lights that highlight the beautiful reproductions of Greek statues of Aphrodite of Milos and other nymphs and goddesses.

There is a bar decorated with amethyst and agate - and a hookah room with fold-down sea terraces.

While people have been left stunned by the sheer luxury of the beach club, some seemed baffled by the addition of the pool.

One such critic quipped: "What a waste. You’ve got the whole damn ocean. What’s the point?"

Another person quickly responded saying: "You know why? Because [the owner] can [afford], that’s why."

A third defended the argument saying: "It’s safer to swim at night in a pool than in the sea where there are sharks and whatnot."

The outside design of Leona is finished in a striking combination of red and white that amplifies the grand presence of the superyacht.

Unique Yacht Design founder Emrecan Özgün said: "The red and white colour combination contributes to Leona’s highly personalised presence. We also opted for a fashion plate, contributing to her unique aesthetic.

"In addition, the mast design has been altered, resulting in a more masculine and sporty appearance for the yacht. [And] we utilised carbon handrails, adding a touch of modernity."
