Brock Lesnar squashes UFC legend Cain Velasquez in just 88 seconds of WWE debut, leaving fans fuming

BROCK LESNAR squashed UFC legend Cain Velasquez in just 88 seconds at Crown Jewel that left fans fuming.

Velasquez, 37, was making his WWE debut against the Beast Incarnate who he beat inside the Octagon back in 2010.

Despite that, Lesnar took less than two minutes to get his former MMA rival to tap out to the Kimura Lock to retain his WWE Championship.

The aftermath of the match, which involved Velasquez getting beaten down and the Beast entering a chair fight with an injured Rey Mysterio, showed the feud is set to continue.

But fans were still annoyed at how the perceived main event had come to such a quick conclusion as the show's opener.

One wrote: "Velasquez vs. Lesnar was dumb as hell! Worked MMA for a crowd that wanted Suplex City and F5s, and Cain lost in like two minutes. Big lols. What a shambles.

"Banter 1 - 0 Boredom."

Another said: "Bahahahahahahahah. That. Was. Terrible. Shocked that Cain agreed to that finish."

A third added: "Soooo they signed Cain Velasquez to job to Brock Lesnar in Saudi Arabia? Okayyy."

The feud looked set to cause waves when Lesnar was confronted with a ghost from his past just moments after capturing the WWE Title from Kofi Kingston on SmackDown earlier this month.

The Beast had launched a vicious attack on Rey Mysterio and his son Dominick days earlier on Raw.

But as he celebrated his championship win on the blue brand he was suddenly interrupted by the “Master of the 619” and Velasquez – the man who defeated him in 2010 for the UFC Heavyweight belt.

The former Octagon king, a friend of Mysterio, then sprinted down to the ring to lay a beatdown on Lesnar to gain some revenge on behalf of his pal.

The two-time UFC heavyweight champion ripped Lesnar's title from him, knocking out the Beast Incarnate with a first-round knockout.
