A TEARFUL Tom Brady has revealed that he is retiring from the NFL 'for good.'

Brady posted on social media on Wednesday morning that he would be stepping down from the franchise after a dazzling 23-year career.

"Truly grateful on this day. Thank you," he captioned the emotional video.

Brady initially retired in 2022 before U-turning on the decision weeks later, however, now he insists he will be stepping down "for good."

It comes just days before his upcoming movie, 80 for Brady, hits theaters on February 3.

    NFL quarterback Tom Brady produced the 2023 American sports comedy 80 for Brady, which was directed by Kyle Marvin and written by Sarah Haskins and Emily Halpern.

    80 for Brady also stars Billy Porter, Guy Fieri, and Patriots tight-end Ron Gronkowski.

    Paramount Pictures will distribute the movie in the US on February 3, 2023.

    “I’m in awe of that kind of skill. When somebody is the best in the world at what they do, you have to honor that and respect it. I was just awestruck.”

    She added: “He was kind and humble, which is hard to believe considering how brilliant he is at what he does, but it’s true. He was also sweet and polite."

    Football legend Tom Brady was quite anxious when filming his portions for the new movie 80 for Brady, Sally Field revealed on Wednesday.

    “He was lovely,” the actress told People. “He just was Tom Brady. He was a completely lovely human.”

    “He told me, ‘I’m so nervous.’ He felt like he didn’t know where to put his feet. But he was a natural,” she added.

    “Athletes get the same kind of adrenaline, except most actors aren’t worried that their limbs will be ripped off.”

    The team shared a statement from Robert Kraft, the CEO of the Patriots.

    Kraft stated, “No player in NFL history has done it as well for as long as Tom Brady. He is the fiercest competitor I have ever known and the ultimate champion.”

    He added, "It's been a blessing for me to watch him grow, first as a young professional on the field, but most importantly, as a person off it.

    He is one of the most loving, carrying and passionate players I have ever known and I will always consider him a part of our family."

    Brady shared a video on his personal social media accounts announcing his retirement.

    In response to his video, Watt demonstrated how he may believe that Brady is the greatest quarterback of all time, but that didn't stop him from making light of the quarterback's retirement.

    In his quote retweet, Watt wrote: "Greatest of All Time.

    "It’s been an honor and a privilege.

    Brady's ban for his suspected involvement in the incident was supposed to take effect during the 2015 regular season, per ESPN.

    He was able to continue playing in 2015 after winning his appeal of the suspension in the Southern District of New York's U.S. District Court, Heavy reported at the time.

    His four-game ban, which took effect for the 2016 regular season, was reinstated by the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit after the season was over.

    Brady decided to accept the ban after being denied a request for a rehearing and missed the first four games of the season as a result.

    On October 9, 2016, when the Patriots played the Cleveland Browns, Brady was later restored as the team's starting quarterback, capping off the Deflategate scandal.
