MANCHESTER UNITED are being SUED by their own staff over a huge wages blunder.

SunSport exclusively revealed that staff have been left seething over a data protection breach and are seeking a six-figure sum in compensation.

have today announced their half-year financial results - which has eased concerns around their compliance with financial fair play (FFP).

In another SunSport exclusive, starlet Kobbie Mainoo is set to sign a bumper new deal at Old Trafford.

Wes Brown heaped a lot of praise on Mainoo and the ex-United star told Instant Casino that the young talisman reminds him of Clarence Seedorf.

  • Top centre-back United priority

    Manchester United are reportedly making the addition of a "top centre-back" their number one priority this summer.

    The Red Devils have been linked with a number of attacking players such as Michael Olise and Pedro Neto, however iNews claims that defensive additions are top of the list at Old Trafford.

    It is said that Everton's Jarrad Branthwaite and Juventus star Bremer are high on their wish list for the summer.

    Manchester United fans are hoping for a busy summer following the arrival of minority owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe.

    However according to journalist Ben Jacobs, the club and their new investors have only "approved" one signing so far.

    The Red Devils are said to be happy to try their hand at signing Crystal Palace winger Michael Olise with all parties approving the potential arrival.

  • United battle Chelsea for Kerkez

    Manchester United and Chelsea are both interested in Bournemouth defender Milos Kerkez, according to the Mirror.

    The 20-year-old has impressed on the south coast this season after signing AZ Alkmaar in the summer.

    The Hungarian international cost the Cherries just £15m and would likely fetch a much higher fee should be leave this summer after signing a "long-term" contract with Bournemouth.

  • Sancho Champions League success

    Manchester United loanee Jadon Sancho was named the Champions League Man of the Match as he helped Borussia Dortmund book a spot in the competition's quarter-finals.

  • United always Mount priority

    Fabrizio Romano has claimed that Mason Mount always had his eyes set on a move to Manchester United last summer despite interest from Arsenal and Liverpool.

    The title rivals were both reportedly interested in Mount right before the summer window, but ultimately saw him head to Old Trafford in a £60m deal.

    And Romano has now explained that the England international was always prioritising a move to the Red Devils over the other clubs interested.

    Speaking to Caught Offside, he said: "My understanding is that there were contacts with both Arsenal and Liverpool while his situation remained uncertain at Chelsea, but this was not in the summer, it was around April when clubs started to ask about Mount deal conditions.

    "That’s it, but Man United was always the priority for the player.”

  • PSG Rashford bid

    Paris Saint Germain are reportedly ready to launch a HUGE bid for Marcus Rashford.

    The Ligue 1 outfit are preparing for life without Kylian Mbappe with the Frenchman leaving the club in the summer.

    And according to the Mirror, Rashford is being eyed by the Parisians.

    PSG are reportedly willing to bid around £75million for the 26-year-old.

    While Man Utd would be looking for a fee closer to £100m if they were to sell the star.

    Sport say the former Arsenal-linked Frenchman is a top option alongside names like Everton's Jarrad Branthwaite and Juventus star Gleison Bremer.

    The Spanish outlet believe United are "very interested in the ex-Sevilla hero, 25, who has won 24 caps.

    Manchester United legend Dwight Yorke says he's applied for the vacant Sunderland boss job.

    Yorke played for the Black Cats during the twilight of his career, signing for them when he was 35 in 2006.

    The former forward had been playing in Australia at the time and only signed after a phone call from then Sunderland manager Roy Keane.

    On concincing Yorke to sign for Sunderland, Keane said: "Towards the end of his career, Yorke had the reputation as a bit of a party animal but I knew Yorke loved the game.

    "He was over in Sydney and obviously he was their franchise player. I remember ringing him from the training ground - I'm not sure on the time difference but I rang him and it was pretty bleak.

    "I rang him, I said 'Yorkey do you fancy coming to Sunderland?' He said 'Are you serious?' and I said yeah.

    "He had a penthouse on Sydney Harbour but I said that would always be there, you can always go back to that.

    "I said we've got a big challenge here but I knew deep down he loved the game and I knew he fancied the challenge."

    But the Mirror believe PSG are prepared to again come in big for Rashford in the summer, having reportedly made approaches last year.

    He even reportedly rejected a contract of around £400,000 a week in the French capital for for a new United deal of around £50k less.

    Any new attempt to lure the Old Trafford academy product will be a big test for the rebuilding plans for United's new minority owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe.

  • Red Devils' scouts swap targets!

    Manchester United sent scouts to watch a Ukrainian wonderkid - but ended up liking the look of his team-mate.

    United are turning over a new leaf under Sir Jim Ratcliffe and are planning some major changes at the end of the season.

    Ratcliffe's Ineos group is now responsible for all football matters and will be overseeing operations across all of the Red Devils' teams, including the youth squad.

    According to Scouts in Attendance, the Manchester giants sent representatives to Greece for an Under-17 tournament.

    United were initially keen on Ukraine's 16-year-old centre-back Kyrylo Digtyar, whose club is Metalist Kharkiv.

    According to Sport.UA, however, the scouts ended up preferring Digtyar's national team-mate and fellow defender Demyan Tretyak, 16.

    Tretyak plays for Dynamo Kyiv and has become the representatives' main focus.

    The centre-back captained Ukraine during Tuesday's 3-0 victory over Slovakia.

    And according to The Times, however, dismissing the Dutchman won't be simple as he and his coaching staff would cost a large sum to offload this summer.

    The 54-year-old boss warned the Red Devils were close to the spending limit which was allowed under Profitability and Sustainability rules in January.

    Therefore, new investor Sir Jim Ratcliffe will have to decide whether sacking Ten Hag and recruiting a new manager would be worth it.

    Kobbie Mainoo is unlikely to be given a first senior call up by Gareth Southgate this week.

    There is plans for the Manchester United’s young star to be promoted to England’s U21s for the first time.

    Mainoo who's parents are both from Ghana is also eligible to switch allegiance which the Ghana FA have already expressed their interest for.

  • Ryan Giggs lands new job

    Manchester United legend Ryan Giggs has landed a new job nearly two years after stepping down as Wales manager.

    The 50 year old has been appointed the new director of football at Salford, the League Two club he co-owns with a number of former United teammates including David Beckham and Paul Scholes.

    It’s one of several changes at Salford this season, with Nicky Butt already stepping up to replace Gary Neville as CEO.

    The role marks Giggs’ first job in football since he stepped down as Wales boss in June 2022.

    Mason Mount's move to Manchester United was reportedly "not for football reasons", a team-mate has claimed according to Manchester Evening News.

    Mount's decision to leave Chelsea angered a lot of Blues fans, with some seeing his departure as a betrayal after he came through the club's academy.

    Former Manchester United defender Wes Brown has likened star midfielder Kobbie Mainoo to AC Milan legend Clarence Seedorf.

    Asked if Mainoo reminds him of anyone he played with or against during his career, Brown told Instant Casino: “There is, and it’s Clarence Seedorf for me!

    "If you ever get a chance to watch Seedorf – how he receives the ball, how he wants the ball and how he protects it – to me it’s very similar to the way Mainoo plays.

    "Believe me, centre midfield is a very hard position to play, but the calmness and the way he looks after the ball is brilliant for someone of his age. You can tell he’s enjoying himself too!"
